Simple Cards {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello! I'm here today to share a card that shows a little simplicity is sometimes best! This little card can be made really easily - and would look fantastic in a variety of colours!

First, I used an embossing folder to add detail to a section of the Turquoise/Glossy Gold Foiled Paper. Rinea Foiled Papers all look fantastic when embossed - as the details really show in their metallic finish.

Once embossed, I added it to one corner of the card base and added another section of the reverse side, without the embossing. The difference in colour and texture lifts a basic card.

To tie the sections together, I ran the card through my sewing machine, using a zigzag stitch and added a simple sentiment sticker. All done in around fifteen minutes!

ATC Shaker Set {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello folks! I'm back today with a tutorial for an ATC Shaker Set made with the beautiful Rinea Foiled Paper found in our special 'Love Foiled Paper Variety Pack.'

At standard ATC size (3.5 x 2.5 inches) these little lovelies would also make a fantastic addition to a special Pocket Letter, or simply use the idea to make additions to your layouts, cards, and diaries.

Upcycled Gift Jar {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello lovelies! I'm back on the Rinea Blog today. This month we've been 'Upcycling' and I have an overview of this little lovely, which I 'made-over' with some Rinea Foiled Papers and a little bit of stuff from my own stash!

Wouldn't it make a lovely, little gift? Especially if it was full of chocolates?!

Perfect Presents {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Today, I'm sharing some ideas for creating 'Perfect Presents with Rinea Foiled Papers.'

I had some cute, little bags on hand, but they looked a little bit boring. I decided to add to each of them with a little bit of Rinea Foiled Paper - and don't they look classy?

I have a few more ideas, so visit the Rinea Blog for a little overview!

Holiday Hanging Ornaments {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello! Hello! It's Clair here today, and I'm excited to show off the 'Holiday Hanging Ornaments' that I've been busy making with my Rinea Foiled Paper. I am so excited to see my twinkly lights reflected in the surface of these beautiful coloured foils!

I've chosen to work with a selection of colours that will work well with my existing decorations, but there are so many colours to choose from that I am sure there's something suitable for everyone. Visit Rinea to see the tutorial for these Holiday Hanging Ornaments.

Thank You Cards {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Since it's nearly the season of Thanksgiving, I want to share some Thank You cards that I've made with my Rinea Foiled Papers in advance, to send to friends. Of course, I should really send them as soon as I have something to be thankful for but, in the moment, I don't often have a chance.

Why not take the time now, to create a little stash of cards to have on hand? Or take the opportunity, in the season of Thanksgiving, to show a little gratitude?

Autumnal Pocket Layout {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello, Rinea fans! :) Today, I have an Autumnal Pocket Layout to share that makes the most of the beautiful metallics available from Rinea. These really are some of my favourite colours of the Rinea Foiled Papers, because they are so, so versatile!

In one section of the Pocket Layout, I've combined some small, circles of the three metallic sheets with some smaller sequins in a selection of autumnal colours. The double-sided Rinea Foiled Papers are fantastic for Pocket Layouts as the colours can be matched easily to the materials used on both sides of the Pocket Layout!

On the other side of the Pocket Layout, I used a combination of die-cut letters in Copper/Copper Glossy Foiled Paper and Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

You can see how well the metallics work within the overall Pocket Layout - and match some of the metallic elements that I've included from my own stash!

Mixed Metallics Shaker Tag {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello! Can you believe that it's nearly the end of August? It's been such an amazing month! I've been having a lot of fun with my Design Team work and I have one last, little make to squeeze in!

I'm so reluctant to let little leftovers leave the desk (who would throw away such amazing stash?) but I've been even more careful with the little bits of my Rinea Foiled Paper. I mean seriously, can we talk about how swoonsome some of these colours are? I've used both the Copper and Matte Gold and I think I have some new favourites!

I used a small circular die to make a scattering of 'confetti' sized circles; then added them to a 'Project Life' Pocket that I sealed with a Fuse Tool (but some washi or a little bit of stitching would also look awesome!)

To finish, I added a small sticker and resin flower - and I love how clean, simple and feminine it looks! But, I'm not sure where I'm going to use it! Planner? Gift? It would look lovely anywhere, right? I may have to make some more ...

Make A Photo Cube With Rinea Foiled Papers & Floracraft

This month, the Rinea DT have been combining Rinea Foiled Papers with some Floracraft Cubes. (Now, honestly, the Rinea DT have excellent themselves, so head on over to check out their makes!) I knew, almost immediately, that I wanted to use mine to make a 'Photo Cube' but needed to choose a suitable occasion to show off.

Looking through some of my photographs the other weekend, I came across some from the bead retreat I took a while back - where my friend, Sarah, and I had an amazing time (and there's evidence in the form of some really daft photographs!)

To make the cube, I first needed to choose a colour for my base - and I eventually chose to use the Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, because it matched the colour of the dress I'm wearing in my photographs.

Covering the base was really, really easy - I wrapped it, as though it was a gift, knowing that any folds would be covered by my photographs. It all looks nice and neat.

The Floracraft Cubes are sized at 3in x 3in, so I cut all of my photographs down to 2.5in x 2.5 in - which means that there's still a little bit of that lovely Rinea shine on show!

To finish off the cube, I added a few small (and flat) embellishments - to add a little bit of interest. (You can add more dimensional embellishments if you want, but remember that if these are on the bottom of the cube at any time, that the cube won't sit without wobbling!)

I'm thrilled with how this super simple cube turned out - and I'm sure I'll make some more to send to friends, or display on my desk at work! Let's face it, we all need a little bit of cheering up in the office! Ugh!

Sensational Scraps {Rinea Foiled Paper}

Hello! Hello! If you've been following me for a while, you know that I love to make the most of my little leftovers and today, I want to share a lovely, little idea that makes the most of those small scraps of Rinea Foiled Papers that may be lying around at the end of an afternoon of crafting. We all have them and I say 'Why stow them away, when you can play?'

I've combined Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, Copper/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper with a selection of other cardstock scraps from my stash - there's always a Rinea Foiled Paper that coordinates! I've then used die-cuts to make simple, stackable 'Pennants'.

To finish each Gift Tag, I've added a small embellishment, then added a hole which can be used to add ribbon or twine. So simple!

Custom Shimmer & Shine Alpha Tutorial

Hello lovelies! Today, I have a little 'How To' that I hope will show how easy it can be to customise Rinea Foiled Paper! I wanted to add a soft, subtle shimmer and shine to some recent layouts for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge but couldn't find an embellishment that I was happy with. Enter my Metallics Foiled Paper Variety Pack - a swoonsome collection that includes a selection of 'Matte' and 'Glossy' Gold, Silver and Copper. It's so on trend, it hurts! :)

The Foiled Papers die-cut so well (but I would recommend some release paper for smaller or more intricate details) and I was thrilled to have some custom alpha embellishments for my cards and layouts. I could have left it there - with some basic, die-cut alphas in some of the lovely metallics - but I wanted a little variety and decided to emulate some of the two-tone alphas I've been seeing recently.

Creating this look is so simple. Haul out an alpha die-cut, choose a little bit of washi tape that compliments or contrasts with the Foiled Paper. Add the washi tape to the Foiled Paper, using the die-cut as an aid; run through the die-cutter; and voila!

I've had a lot of fun combining my customised alphas with my Watermelon Whimsy {June's Counterfeit Kit} stash and I am certain that this technique will turn up over and over, as I make my own kits each month!

I've already started to experiment with some of the other Rinea Foiled Paper colours; different washi; and, of course, different die-cuts. So much fun! Watch out for more soon!

Tic, Tac, Toe (Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1)

It's time for our first challenge of the month over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge with our own version of Tic, Tac, Toe. Have you ever played the crafting version? It's a simple idea, use three boxes to complete a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line to 'win'.

I used this lovely, little dotted cardstock from the Jubilee Collection, by My Mind's Eye as the base of my card. It's subtle, but cute and I love that! I then used the Gummiapan - Stitched Banners Die from Swedish House Crafts to create two sizes of banner; then embossed the smaller of the two to create some texture. The Rinea Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper I used truly looks incredible when it's embossed!

To finish, I added a small sentiment that I'd included in the June Counterfeit Kit - Watermelon Whimsy - and some cute, little sparkles!

Head on over to the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge to see if you can spot my winning combination!
