Cut The Mustard {Fashion Forward}

So, last Wednesday afternoon I was in Liverpool City Centre and I just happened to walk past Hobbs. Okay, if I'm honest, I engineered the walk past and had my nose so close to the window that after several minutes of clothing induced panting, I could have written my name in the steam! You'd understand if you caught glimpse of the new NW3 Collection.

Amongst the plaids, checks and tweeds - my favourite kinds of 'neutrals' - there were a few hints of mustard and I was immediately hooked by it's warmth. If ever there was someone who could benefit from a little bit of clothing induced warmth throughout the winter months, it would be me - winter weather hater that I am!

Determined to find a few indie items that could bring some sunshine to my rainy days, I started sleuthing on Etsy as soon as I got home. Here's the winter warmers that totally exceeded my expectations -

Cut The Mustard - Meaning: to succeed; to come up to expectations.

Aren't they all a little bit of sunshine for the soul? Just a couple of these little lovelies would see me through the winter months with a smile on my face - though it seems the 'diminutive' dress and I will have to remain on swooning terms only! Before I send you all off to search high and low for mustard loves of your very own, I know that several dedicated Followers of Fashion (Forward) have asked for a Fashion Forward Button - and who would I be to deny them? So, here it is -

You'll need to add a HTML/JavaScript widget into your sidebar. Then just copy and paste the HTML above into the widget and save. Your button should look like the one in the top, right hand corner of my blog - which takes you directly to the first Fashion Forward post on Katherine's blog Paper Pocket.

And don't forget to visit Katherine today and link in if you're playing along x

  2. These are all so warm and inviting - just love it! Really loving your new banner too. The page seems so open and spacious now! (not that it felt closed and crowded before!) You know what I mean... it looks great! :) K

  3. Mustard as a hue is so warming, isn't it? Love that stationary! And those bracelets are such a great idea for winter. (Thanks for the button!)

  8. I'm absolutely loving mustard this season! My brunette friends look gorgeous in the color, but sadly it washes me out. Booo. However, blond hair or not, I would DEFINITELY rock that satchel!

  9. Ta muchly for button code, but I'm having trouble with it - instead of the button my blog's just displaying the code??? (The bit underneath it on my sidebar is the version I half-inched off your blog before...) Have I done something wrong with it? I've added plenty of html widgetty things before so I don't _think_ I've messed up that bit?

  10. *duh*... Just worked it out! I copied and pasted the code exactly from here, but instead of showing '<' it says '<', guess it's a blogger thing! Once I changed all the '<'s to '<'s it worked fine :-)

  11. And now it's interpreting what I typed to change it to '<'s so my comment doesn't make sense!! how I love blogger rofl.... I'll try again: instead of '<', it's printed '&' 'l' 't' ';' in your post (or that's how I see it on screen, anyhow!)
