Unboxing: June Inspiration Creation Kit

Well, I never actually thought that the day would come, but I finally made my first You Tube Video. I haven't felt this vulnerable about sharing something creative since I started blogging. It's a bit weird hearing my own voice (not to mention hearing how many ums and errs I make - as well as realising how much I talk with my hands. There's a lot of 'Jazz Hands'.

I can only improve, right?

I was thrilled with the first kit I received from Inspiration Creation and, having been massively inspired by crafty friend, Jess Claire (from Jess Claire Creates) I went for it! Please let me know what you think (either here or over on You Tube) but, I beg you, be kind! x

Woo! {Storytelling Sunday}

Despite reading the many, many wonderful stories that have been told as part of Storytelling Sunday at From High In The Sky, I've never managed to actually join in by telling a story of my own, but finishing off my Notts Weekend Mini Book made me think about telling the stories from that most glorious of weekends - and I have one in particular that I'd like to share.

We were at Newstead Abbey and had begun our visit in The Great Garden - a beautiful, formal garden surrounding a rectangular pond. We were strolling around the garden when The Steve spotted one of John Nost's lead statues at the bottom of a small hill. Leaving me at the top of the hill with our bags and photography equipment, he trotted off to take a closer look.

But, when he turned to come back, he saw me lying on the ground at the bottom of the hill. He ran over to check that I was okay and found me - not injured and upset - but triumphant and deliriously happy. The hill had called to me and I hadn't been able to resist.

Unable to leave without having at least one more 'mini adventure', The Steve decided that we should, at least, have a record for future generations - presumably so that they can blame their insanity their Great Grandmother's side of the family - and here's the resulting video.
If only hill rolling was an olympic sport.....

Can I Have One Please?

So, I keep finding the most adorable videos on YouTube and I'm doing my very best not to post them all the time. (Just in case my blog starts to resemble one of those forwarded e-mails full of teddies, dolphins and unicorns!)

But....just this once?
