All Wrapped Up! {Flickr Favourites}

I can't believe that I've started thinking about Christmas already, but this year it looks as though I'll be hand-making the vast majority of my gifts and because I want my gifts to scream 'care and attention' not 'thrown together' that means some forward planning is necessary.

Now, I don't know about you, but when I receive a gift, nothing says care and attention like excellent wrapping. I know that some people will consider gift wrapping as a little bit of a waste - it's what's inside that counts, right? Um. No. Don't believe me? Well, take a look at these beautiful packages from my flickr favourites and maybe you'll change your mind.

All Wrapped Up

1. Red Toile With Heart, 2. Red Box, 3. FAA lucky parcel swap:: red, white&silver, 4. Red & white swap with Yvonne..., 5. red parcel, 6. swap - sent, 7. Pretty Polka Dots, 8. for baby, 9. Pompom Parcels

If you'd like to see more sets of Flickr Favourites or share your own, head on over to Artmind to join in. Thanks so much for organising this every week Mitsy, I'm loving it!

  1. I so agree, and these are lovely. The pompoms are a great idea. I especially like wrapping when it's clearly carefully done using everyday pretty things, i.e. not just fancy embossed paper at a huge number of euros per sheet.

  2. I think I need some pompoms stat! I think it is an equal combination of the inside and outside of a package. Because if the outside is dull, no matter whats on the inside (except maybe for diamond earrings) the inside isn't going to have quite as much appeal. Now, off to search out those pompoms!

  4. Wow, wow, and - wow :-) Except - I'd have to unwrap such a gift so so carefully so I could (a) reuse the gorgeous wrapping, or (b) keep it as part of the gift! I do love beautifully wrapped gifts like this, but we're at the stage of 'cheap and cheerful paper 'cos it'll got torn off in 2 seconds flat and there's no guarantee you'll get to open your own presents however clearly labelled they are!' *sigh*

    But I promise yours will be elegantly wrapped ;-)

  6. I would want to reuse the wrapping. So I would ahve to be careful unwrapping. I take my time anyway and it drives my kids crazy.I love the heart bow.

  7. I love beautifully wrapped gifts, though i then never want to open them. Last year I ended up just throwing on the nearest paper to hand on Xmas Eve, really wasn't great. This year I will be different!

  8. Oh my goodness, if only I could wrap like that! I usually start out strong, then become totally frustrated/sloppy towards the end. I need to print out those photos to keep myself in check this season.

  16. Clair, you are a lady after my own heart! My mother wraps the MOST beautiful packages and during Christmas I couldn't care less about what's inside of them. Opening them makes me sad! Well, most of the time :)
