Besties On Tour {Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop}

Hello! Hello! It's the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Member Blog Hop today, so I'm sure that most of you will have made it here from Margie at Scrappinmargie but, if you haven't (and you started here at Obstinate Pursuit) then you might like to head on over to the start at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge, so that you don't miss out on any of the action!

I love the Member Blog Hop, it allows us all the chance to show off at least one of the projects that we've made with the month's Counterfeit Kit, based on one of the month's challenges. This month those challenges were -

1. Blank Canvas - Use a white background.
2. Gift Wrap - Choose a nice wrap to use on one of your projects.
3. Word Challenge - Base a project on the word 'friends.'

This weekend, I took my 'Summer In The City Kit' and the 'Autumnal Evening Kit' I created for The Great Master Forger Search, along with a massive stack of photographs, to my local scrapbook club. Having kits to hand certainly makes prepping and packing for the club a lot more pleasurable. All I need to add are some basic tools, a few sheets of extra white cardstock and, of course, some chocolates to share.

At the club, I was rummaging through some of my prints for inspiration when I came across some teeny, tiny photographs of me and my lovely friend - Sarah - from our tour of Australia's East Coast in 2003.

Having used the majority of my cardstock to prepare my Week In The Life Album, I selected a new sheet of white cardstock for my background - meaning I've scored a two-for-one on the challenges - and used some of my scraps and embellishments to add a little colour. It's simple, cute and colourful - and I love how it turned out.

Right, I think it's time for a Monday morning cuppa, then I'll be visiting the next stop on the blog hop, Karen at Pinkycrafter, to see which of the challenges she's been busy with this month. Please do head on over too, for more inspiration!

  7. two in one! go you. Great layout and the photos are super cute. I agree with you about kits and crops. I go to Scrapabilly to crop every week but I just pick up my tool tote, a couple of kits and some cardstock and I'm pretty much done! So easy
